Step by Step Counselling College was founded in 2021 by Simon Heath and Becky Whittaker and is based in a central location in the town of Newton Abbot, Devon. 

As experienced counsellors and tutors, we have a wealth of experience between us -  we founded the college for one reason and one reason only; to inspire you to use the skills of

counselling your way.

Through experiential learning, self-reflection, and

exploration of key counselling modalities, we will

equip you well.

​

Whether you are enrolling on an individual course to

learn some counselling skills and self-development, or

hopping onboard for our full programme of courses

ranging from Level 2 through to Level 4 we aim to be

alongside you every step of the way. If you are looking 

train as counselling professional and embark on a counselling career you have come to the right place.

With our full support, including one to one tutorials to help build confidence, a safe

inviting and comfy space to develop your skills, regular tutor feedback during skills practice and lots of fun along the way, we look forward to being the cushion beneath you as you train as a professional counsellor.

Just one more thing; whilst other courses stop at providing just what you need to qualify, our Level 4 Diploma in Counselling is a bit different, as we also include help and training in areas such as setting up private practice, how to utilise supervision, how to 

market yourself and more.
