This friendly and engaging Level 3 Equivalent course, is the perfect place to either build on the experience gained on the Level 2 Certificate in Counselling, as a stepping-stone into the Diploma Course, or as way to develop your listening skills for personal and/or professional reasons.

This course has been awarded a quality checked training recognition by the National Counselling Society.

Focussing on three main areas of counselling practice, we will examine theory (focussing on, but not limited to Person Centred and Cognitive Behaviour Therapies), ethical and legal requirements, and personal growth and development.

Through the sessions, you will have the opportunity to practice your skills, reflect on your learning, form relationships and openly and honestly discuss issues and topics related to counselling and listening skills.  This work will lead to a portfolio of evidence-based work, documenting your learning and personal development.

This is not just a training course where you just learn the skills and theory required to obtain the qualification, we will encourage you, through feedback and support, to draw on and use your own individual life experience and develop your own special way of working therapeutically.

The methods of learning will be varied with plenty of opportunity to practically implement theories learnt and try out different ways of working to find the way that suits you.  All course tutors bring with them their own unique experiences and different ways of working – each to help you get the most from the course.
